DLDwomen 2012 – A unique event

For me, personally, there is one highlight event in a year that is every single moment worth to attend: the DLDwomen. Started in 2010 as a special edition of the traditional DLD, that regularly takes place in January one week before the World Economic Forum in Davos, this year the motto was: “New Values, New Rules”.

Key topics for this year’s event that took place on July 11 and 12 in Munich, were women empowerment driven by new economics, globalization, technology and politics. “New Rules, New Values” are especially seen in the world of work, entrepreneur- and leadership, as well as in education, health, Community involvement, engagement, social business & humanity 2.0 and Lifestyle, e-commerce & entertainment.

The DLDwomen is a unique conference that features discussions, case studies and lectures and compose an extraordinary group of over 50 international high profile speakers and nearly 1000 attendees formed by global thinkers, CEO’s, futurists, entrepreneurs, investors, scientists, opinion formers and creative talents from business, media, technology, society, health, education, politics, and science.

Co-Founder and Director of DLDwomen is Steffi Czerny, and is chaired by Dr. Maria Furtwängler, a physician and renowned German actress who was supported by co-chairs like Vivane Reding/EU CommissionerPat Mitchell/Paley Center NYC, German politician Ursula von der Leyen and Arianna Huffington/Huffington Post this year.

DLDwomen invites you to a very special and future-oriented travel around the world that reflects on societal development and provides latest insights into research, sciences and society.
