When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Actually, I wanted to be a doctor.

What has motivated you to take on a position of high responsibility within Henkel?
Besides believing in myself, I’ve been fortunate in starting of my career to work with great leaders in Henkel. I want to be that same kind of leader, who not only encourages their team to be efficient and effective partners in the organization, but also sets an example that inspires others. I believe that in the long run, that’s our best way to have a second line of leaders.

What were the milestones in your career and are there people or circumstances that have favored your career?
Important milestones were when we integrated SAP in 2007, it was a big challenge when I had a new responsibility in the controlling department and the second milestone was my promotion to be the head of controlling in 2012.

What is your advice to women seeking to build careers?
Always remember that hard work is your way to achieve your biggest dreams, your social life might suffer at intervals, but always remember your goals and know that this is part of the journey.
Stay focused, have a clear vision, and a passion to what you are doing, because simply if you believe in something, other people will too.
And my best advice is don’t forget about “me” time, always schedule a time for yourself because at the end this will help you be more productive at work.
