Question 1
What’s your personal definition of work-life balance?
My definition of work-life balance is trying to make each aspect of my life as fulfilling and successful as possible. Personal time with family, work & career and my health & well-being all impact each other, so I try to keep each aspect on track.
Question 2
Did you consciously choose a certain life balance?
Yes. I was trying to work fulltime, but with my husband’s schedule and the demands of my two little guys, I was starting to feel stressed. I felt that I was doing less than my personal best in each area important to me.
Question 3
Was a healthy work-life balance a criterion in deciding on a specific employer?
It wasn’t when I started, but I’m extremely grateful that Henkel has been able to work with me to provide me with flexibility as my priorities and life demands have shifted.
Question 4
What positive effects does your personal work-life approach have?
I’m spending more time with my children, but still get time in the office – which is also an important part of who I am.
